Sword is good for t5/4 enemies and the 3ap will cut most saves down. Axe is better imo for t3/t5 because you'll wound t4/t5 on 3s and t3 on 2s, on top of that if you're going to hit something with at its invul the extra ap is worthless and it's better to be @ a higher str for t3/t5 characters.
